Long overdue interview with today’s guest for the “We are gamers” series.
He is one of the most passionate gamers that I know, and I am so glad that he is back on YouTube, after a period of reflection. At some point, haters made him want to quit, but you know what? They failed, because they are boring. Instead, he is entertaining and the gaming community needs people like him! So welcome back my friend, it is time to get you and your new channel some much needed exposure!

1. Welcome Alex and a big “thank you” for accepting my invitation. For a starter, please introduce yourself to RGL’s readers.
Hello, thank you for having me for your interview. I am Alexbroskis and I am a twitch streamer from the Uk in Liverpool. I am a friendly scouser who loves to play video games and love to stream my favorite games.
2. What was the first video game you ever played?
My first video game I played was Driver on the PS1. It was my big brother’s console and he let my play on it for the first time. I remember trying to play the first level where you had to do the checklist on your driving skill, and you had a certain amount of time to do it, but it was extremely hard for me to do, because I was only young at the time.
3. What about the first gaming system you ever owned?
My first console was the Ps3 I got for Christmas. I really wanted one bad so, on Christmas day my Nan told me to help her with something upstairs because there was a big present for me in a black bag, but there was a box inside of the bag (a big box) and I was carrying it downstairs, while my Nan was carrying a sports bag, but she was carrying it upside down, so all the Ps3 games fell out and I got really excited I got one.
4. Were you guy an arcade gamer? If you were, what about your favorite titles back in the 90s / 2000s?
I am a 90s baby but in to 2000s when I was a bit younger, I remember going to America for my holiday, and there was a massive arcade in Florida where we could play any game we wanted for free. There were retro games, modern games and newer games at the time in the 2000s.
5. I am going to name a few video game genres: please tell me your favorite retro title for each of them:
A) Adventure – For this my favorite adventure game would be the Fallout games. The first time I played the fallout franchise I was amazed about the gameplay and how open world it was.
You can do anything in the game, choose your decisions and craft what you want and design your home or – in the newer fallout games like 4 and 76 – designing your settlement the way you want.
B) Platform – My favorite platform game was Sonic Adventures 2. I loved the gameplay for this one. You had to go through level to level to defeat Dr. Eggman from collecting the chaos Emerald and you can play a hero story mode and Villain story mode on the hero story mode you can play as Sonic, Tails & Knuckles and the villain story mode you can Play Shadow, Dr. Eggman & Rouge. I loved this game back on the GameCube.
C) Puzzle Games – I was not really into puzzle games
D) Role-playing games – The elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. This one I can say the same thing about Fallout it is the same, but it is different in many ways, so like it is in the stone age, you can play as a Warrior, Knight, Mage, and many more.
E) Racing Games – My Favorite Racing game must be Need for Speed. I used to play this with my brother years ago, and I still love playing it from this day. It has been the best franchise that EA has made, but it has died down a bit since the years have gone by, but still holds a special place in my heart.
F) Soccer/Football – FIFA games were the one for me. I used to play them years ago… I used to set the difficulty on easy to make my brother proud, because I used to score a lot of goals. Through all the years, I played FIFA I stopped playing the game when FIFA 17 was out, and I have not played since now FIFA 22.
G) Sports Games – Wrestling Games were my top favorite games, I really loved them. I always played my favorite wrestler, he was called EDGE one of the best wrestlers to ever do it.
I played most of the wrestling games until smackdown vs raw 2011, that is when I stopped playing them, but I have gone back to them, because I really missed them.
H) Any other games whose genre I did not mention?
Not really.
6. While growing up, what gaming system did you have the most fun with? Are you still a regular gamer?
This is also Retro James’s favorite console. I beat many games with him sitting on my knees. Sweet memories… ❤️
I am still a regular gamer. I still go on my ps3 from time to time or go on my 3DS. I still love the old games, it was our childhood, and I will not let that go.
7. What is your relationship with the online gaming world? Do you play online with your friends/family members/random gamers?
I play online with my friends and sometimes we meet some nerd people, and we have fun playing together.
8. What are your finest memories related to video games?
I have to say the Simpsons Hit & Run it is still one of the best games out there and brings back good memories. It needs a remaster or a remake. I will buy a Ps2 to play that game.
9. What prompted you to start a YouTube/Twitch channel?

When I was young my dream was, I wanted to become a YouTuber, but I did not have any money to buy all the stuff and when I came around in years to come when I was older, I started building up stuff, saving up and everything to get all my equipment for my streaming.
When I did start, I felt brave because it was my first time. Though months later, I had someone making fake accounts and disliking my stuff and nasty messages of him on social media, so I took a break for a couple of months and I decided to go on twitch and ever since I’ve been doing twitch and I’ve been enjoying it.
But this was the past… After that I talked to my girlfriend and she said I should not give up on my dream because of others. So I made a new channel and here I am again! I battled with demons because of what that person had said to me and all the fake accounts, but it is my time to fight back!
10. What is the goal of AlexBroskis?
I want to support all my YouTube friends and twitch friends the best of luck, and I will support them all the time. And I want to make a full-time career on twitch and YouTube.
11. Last but not least: any future plans or secret wishes?
As I am a trophy hunter on PlayStation, my plan is to become the number 1 top of the leaderboard in my country as a platinum hunter.
