Spinning Image – A 50 level puzzle game released by Carleton Handley for the C64

If you love playing puzzle games, then you might like to play this new game by Carleton Handley called ‘Spinning Image’ for the Commodore 64. As in the words of the creator, “Spinning Image is a game where you gradually build up the image on the playfield to match the solution on the right of the screen. Blocks must be placed onto the board as well as being removed to help build up to completion”. To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a gameplay video below.

Also as noted by the website “Spinning Image for the Commodore 64 has 50 levels to tackle which come in five sets of ten. The levels in a set can be tackled in any order but the following set is only unlocked when at least eight levels in its preceding set are solved. As you progress through the game further obstacles appear such as bouncing wall or portals. Can you complete all 50 images?”

JetHuntERS – An Amiga preview of a new arcade shoot ’em up by Coagulus

JetHuntERS – An Amiga preview of a new arcade shoot ’em up by Coagulus

Thanks to another heads up from Saberman,  he has told us that Coagulus has made available an early build preview of his/her work in progress Shoot-em-up for the Amiga called ‘JetHuntERS’. A game that the developer says isn’t just a sequel to JetHunt, but also a partial tribute to the game Zybex which came out on 8-bit computers in the 1980’s. To coincide with this news, we’ve got some new footage of the game as well as some further info posted via the EAB forums below.

And here’s the latest from the creator. “Hi all, Have had a terrible time with computers the last couple of years. Laptop died. Moved to Pimiga. Then to an old laptop which then died too. Then built a new PC and suffered 2 hard drive deaths. Lost over a year of code. But thanks to earlier backups that were found I’ve got JetHunt 2 : JetHuntERS to a preview stage at least. It’s buggy (especially my firing routines which I need to rewrite) and there’s only one level in the preview but it’s 1 or 2 players. Should run on non-AGA unlike JetHunt although I think it needs at least 1MB of CHIP RAM. This is the first disk image I’ve tried of it. Will run from HD too though no assigns necessary”.

“Fingers crossed it works as I’m finally getting back into Amiga coding. Other things have been saved and I hope to get a rhythm going soon”….So watch this space!

Here’s the latest from the creator for a game that was created in AMOS. “This is a speed-run challenge! Your aim is to collect as many easter eggs as possible as fast as possible! So clearly the path you take is important! You control a rabbit, bouncing around a classic Amiga Boing-Ball, and aside from collecting eggs theres some other things to watch out for: Energy Drink – Rabbit will hop faster for a short time allowing you to complete the level quicker. Be careful… it might be too fast, and a Bomb – Avoid at all costs! This will kill your rabbit and end the game”.
